London Plus Size Fashion Weekend - Casting of the models

I'm going to London tomorrow! I got an invitation to the model casting for the London Plus size Fahion Weekend. OMG! Wow! I am pretty sure I won't make it much further than this but still it will be a lot of fun.

Blutsgeschwister

A couple of weeks ago I spotted the flagship store of the Stuttgart based label 'Blutsgeschwister', a very stunning label with expressive design that I absolutely love and that actually fit even bigger sizes. I am totally in love!
They have several flagship stores, selected stores have their items and there is an online store available.
I have been to the flagship store in Hamburg several times now and always spend hell too much money there! ;) The atmosphere is great, the girls are very friendly and helpful and it is always a very relaxing shopping time. Actually the best way to spend an afternoon with your girls!

Owl hat...

The lovely tides, which I met at kleiderkreisel liked my owl hat so much she asked for her own. Sure she got one! And she loves it! How much show these picturse she sent as a thank you. Isn't she cute?

Postcards connecting the world - postcrossing.com

A friend told me of a very cool project out in the internet I am about to test - Postcards connecting the world at postcrossing.com. The aim is to send and recieve postcards to and from random people all over the world.
I just picked my first addressees and my first five postcards will go to China, Ukraine, The Netherlands, Belarus and the United States.
I'm really excited which will arrive first and where from the first one I'll recieve is.

Kurvenhaus Hamburg - Birthday Fashion Show

Last week the lovely Miss Bartoz from missbartoz asked to come along to the Birthday Fashion Show of Kurvenhaus, a Plus Size Store in downtown Hamburg.
The ladies were very excited as the store is now one year old. I finally met Miss Bartoz and some of her fans and friends there. The whole evening was in a very intimate and lovely atmosphere and one could feel the passion of the owners for their work. Different designers, colors and styles, all in plus sizes for beautiful ladies.
So, if you come here, give the store a try, it's worth it!

Mediaeval times...

Did I mention that a love mediaeval markets? Well, now you know!
Last weekend was one of the biggest here in Hamburg. i am attending it for several years now and it is always great to meet old friends there.Today you get a little picture with the guys from Saor Patrol, they are really stunning people! 

Oh, and just so you know what I've been up to in crocheting lately... An I-pad cover, a new bag and a new hat :)

Finally knitting...

 Yeah, finally, after years of not letting it get close to me, I asked my mum to show me how to knit. This was the first testing stripe... (yes, I know, others start with straight lines. Well, I'm not others, right ;) )

And this is the first finished knitted piece, a loop scarf with a crocheted flower pin.

Malta Impressions

Saturday creativity

Yesterday my package from Tchibo arrived with lots of supplies for beadworks and clothing creativity. Isn't this such a colourful inspiration? I am sure I will be doing some nice stuff over the next weeks with these kits.

The first thing I did with it today was this: I had a very lovely necklace for quite some time which I never really wore because it was much to long so I decided to take it apart, shorten it and make some earrings out of the leftovers. The result is on the right pic. I love it and will wear it tonight when I go out with a friend :) What do you think about it?

Easter days

I'm back from my parents where I spent the last days over Easter. I love the way my mum decorated the front door, always beautiful. And I found out that I have had a love for polka dots from an early age as my favourite easter egg is one that is pink with big white dots, it has been made about 30 years ago...

My parents have a love for orchids. This is the latest in full bloom. I love the colour!

My brother was there with his son, is'nt this a lovely picture of him and my dad reading a book together? And the owl has to be there all the time ;)

And I finally had the time to finish my crotcheted tunika. I'm very proud of it, since it took quite some time and it fits :)

Tulips

Did I mention that I absolutely love tulips? Any kind, any colour! They are soooo beautiful flowers and give such a nice spring feeling. Today's are in purple (yes, I kind of like that colour ;) ).

And since the Easter days are coming up so I decided for some little decoration. Aren't they cute?

April days...

What a day! When I first looked out of the window I was a bit shocked! Snow! No, I don't want any snow anymore! Can't it just stop now? I don't want a snowy Easter weekend! But one look into the garden made it all better.
I love those red primroses with the yellow centre piece.

Oh, and just so you know: That's the way my nails look like at the moment. I like the colours and the Astor Laque DeLuxe works very well!

Stormy spring

 What a strange weather today... It was very stormy with rain, snow, storm and sun. No, nothing to leave the house! So I brought the spring home - tulips :)

And I took the time for doing some DIY. Some weeks ago I found the idea but I can't remember where :/
