New hats :)

I'm in a hat feaver... they are so easy to make and finish up quickly :) Here are some from the last weeks:

Finally knitting...

 Yeah, finally, after years of not letting it get close to me, I asked my mum to show me how to knit. This was the first testing stripe... (yes, I know, others start with straight lines. Well, I'm not others, right ;) )

And this is the first finished knitted piece, a loop scarf with a crocheted flower pin.

Malta Impressions

Did you miss me?

Saturday creativity

Yesterday my package from Tchibo arrived with lots of supplies for beadworks and clothing creativity. Isn't this such a colourful inspiration? I am sure I will be doing some nice stuff over the next weeks with these kits.

The first thing I did with it today was this: I had a very lovely necklace for quite some time which I never really wore because it was much to long so I decided to take it apart, shorten it and make some earrings out of the leftovers. The result is on the right pic. I love it and will wear it tonight when I go out with a friend :) What do you think about it?

Easter days

I'm back from my parents where I spent the last days over Easter. I love the way my mum decorated the front door, always beautiful. And I found out that I have had a love for polka dots from an early age as my favourite easter egg is one that is pink with big white dots, it has been made about 30 years ago...

My parents have a love for orchids. This is the latest in full bloom. I love the colour!

My brother was there with his son, is'nt this a lovely picture of him and my dad reading a book together? And the owl has to be there all the time ;)

And I finally had the time to finish my crotcheted tunika. I'm very proud of it, since it took quite some time and it fits :)

Tulips

Did I mention that I absolutely love tulips? Any kind, any colour! They are soooo beautiful flowers and give such a nice spring feeling. Today's are in purple (yes, I kind of like that colour ;) ).

And since the Easter days are coming up so I decided for some little decoration. Aren't they cute?
